Vietnamese R&B singer-songwriter Thuy (pronounced TWEE) recently released the deluxe version of her 2021 debut EP titled “I Hope U See This” as an extension of the project’s core message.
“The deluxe project is a continuation of the theme that I’m closing the door on the past in order to enter a new chapter in my life,” Thuy reveals.
The 14-track project touches on a few subjects including self-confidence, heartbreak and love. Also, Thuy’s smooth vocals throughout the EP are complemented by features such as rapper and producer P-Lo as well as fellow vocalist Christian Kuria.
A real standout feature on this EP is the remix of “In My Head” featuring Destiny Rogers—which Thuy considers to be a women empowerment anthem.
“Destiny Rogers was the perfect feature for this remix: she just exudes confidence and drive. I wanted to really embody the idea that women can be bosses and to never count us out of anything because we always come out on top!” she says.
