The presence of Taylor Rooks within the sports media space is ever-present. Currently, the journalist and sportscaster appears on both Bleacher Report and Turner Sports. Also, she’s nominated for an “Outstanding Personality/Emerging On-Air Talent” award at the 43rd annual Sports Emmy Awards.
Rooks took to Instagram and Twitter last week to share the exciting news with her online audience.
“2022 Emmy nominated. 🏆 Incredibly full of joy. Fairly speechless except to say I’m honored to be amongst a group of talented nominees I deeply respect and admire. And grateful to work with the greatest team ever at @bleacherreport, Turner and Twitter. ⭐️,” the caption read.
Other nominees in the “Outstanding Personality/Emerging On-Air Talent” category are Eli Manning, Malika Andrews, Greg Olsen and Julian Edelman. Fellow sports journalists Joy Taylor and Arielle Chambers offered congratulatory comments following Rooks’ announcement.

As a sportscaster, Rooks interviews a wide range of guests. These guests include athletes like Sue Bird and Ja Morant alongside celebrities such as Michael B. The Sports Emmy Awards recognize achievements in sports programming in over 45 categories encompassing the following: live sports coverage, Spanish language content, edited and documentary sports programming and personality, technical and craft contributions.
“As the premier standard-bearer for industry accomplishments, the presentation of these awards is intended to be an incentive for the continued pursuit of excellence,” their website states. “The competition aspires to drive industry relevance and promote inclusivity across the sports community.”
