THE BEST FASHION MOMENTS FROM THE GOLDEN GLOBES 2021; 3 CONSISTENT THEMES WORN BY THE STARS

It seems like only a short while ago when the red carpet was graced with star studded looks and celebrities fratozing freely and posing to show off their fabulous frocks. Well this year certainly looked a little different as the Golden Globes went digital; with only a select few walking the actual red carpet while others slayed from the comfort of their homes. Although it wasn’t business as usual, celebrities still served us high doses of fashion and poses alike from the comfort of their living rooms and backyards, with their fashion front and center. From neons, to full out glamour, there were so many memorable and swoon worthy ensembles that rose to the occasion. Although everyone showed up and showed out in a variety of looks, there were a few themes that seemed to dominate the night. None the less, I was here for all of them but let’s check out a few of the evening favorites.

Metallics

The digital redcarpet didnt shy away from the glitz and glamour for sure. We saw numerous actors shine through in metallics and sequins alike. We saw structured from comedic actress Tiffany Haddish in her custom Alberta Ferretti column gown. She completed the look with a metallic clutch and debuted a new bombshell blonde hair color. We also saw a mix of classic and edge from Regina King who not only lights up the screen on camera but came to shine in a Louis Vuitton gown full of silver sequins. So many stars dazzled us with their high shine looks; check out more of them below.

Volume and Whimsy

Total opposite of what we usually see on the red carpet of sleek and sophisticated, there was a lighthearted switch to voluminous and whimsical. But let’s not get it twisted. Some stars showed a more fun and youthful approach with striking colors like poppy, buttercup yellow and neon green, but they certainly didn’t lack sophistication. Cynthia Erivo, dressed by celebrity stylist Jason Bolden, never comes to play. She makes bold statements on the red carpet, and this year was no different. She slayed in a neon green Valentino gown that was so structured. The bright fluorescent green hue added just the right amount of whimsy to the serious structured gown. Rosamund Pike and Nicola Coughlan both aired on the whimsy side with voluminous frocks made of tulle by Molly Goddard. Both were a fresh and vivacious site to see. Check out theirs’ and other stars who rocked this theme.

Old Hollywood Glamour

Nothing says red carpet like glamour and many starts embodied the Old Hollywood Glamour theme that always proves timeless and striking. Among the styles sported there was quite a range. We saw everything from feathers to column gowns, opera length gloves to satin, and emulations of the roaring 20s. Angela Bassett was exquisite in a plum asymetrical gown trimmed in feathers by Dolce and Gabbana. Amanda Seyfriend just glowed in a coral Oscar de la Renta, that was so vibrant and fun yet sleek and regal. Check out more stars who decided to dazzle us with glamour this year for the Golden Globes.
