InClub Magazine – Volume 2

It is finally here, InClub Vol 2! A new beginning, starting with this May issue, redesigned and reimagined—pushing the envelope to learn from one another what a magazine is, and what it can be, in our always changing world.

In 1892 the very first Vogue issue see’s the light of day. A weekly newspaper that would become a bible of sorts for women’s fashion. The same year we got our first American football player as well as the first time the “Pledge of Allegiance” was recited in unison. In 1945 the first Ebony magazine was published, a reader’s digest sized magazine for black sisters in a time none of the major magazines were showing black women.

Then later in 1957, Billy Graham starts CT; an attempt to bring balanced reporting and biblical commentary on social and cultural issues and opportunities.

Fast-forward to present time, 2016, InClub magazine is published. Inspired directly or indirectly by all three of the aforementioned, fused together to more accurately depict, and demonstrate the character, cares and creativity of a motley crew generation of 20 & 30 somethings.

Today, 2017, our galaxy is forever changing, new discoveries even new planets. With much attention of the galaxy at large many of us are just scratching the surface floor of finding ourselves, our purpose, and what our faith is really made of.

Many with big shoes to fill, dysfunctional family dynamics to overcome and an agnate desire to be in the center of the will of God which feels much like an impossible task, like saving the world. But, we are the generation devoted to do it. This issue is devoted to the doing of just that.

So whether you are thumbing through those thick stock quality paper of pages, or scrolling from your smartphone, iPad or tablet device our hope is that you find a beautiful package of ideas, words and images specifically appealing, affirming and affecting for you, for me, for us.

Between Facebook and Twitter and everything in-between delivering news stories to all of your devices, memes and shade throwing media outlets getting all the retweets our magazine, and good magazines are all about context—how ideas and images are presented in relation to one another and within a larger point of view with depth and substance. Like the cosmo’s are an extension to the earth we are committed to you, for you are an extension of us. Welcome to the Millennials Of The Galaxy. Obviously.
