Happy Met Gala Monday! Typically held annually on the first Monday in May, the Met Gala—aka fashion’s biggest night of the year—returns on September 13th as a smaller, more intimate affair than in years past.

What to expect?

Singer Billie Eilish, tennis star Naomi Osaka, actor Timothée Chalamet, fashion designer Tom Ford, poet Amanda Gorman, and journalist Anna Wintour will be descending upon the famous art-deco staircase of New York City’s Metropolitan Museum of Art on Monday, September 13, at 5:30 p.m. ET,

How much does the affair cost?

And it’s giving everything expensive, everything exclusive.

After all this is the Met Gala, the Oscar’s of fashion.

And naturally, you want to be invited to this swanky affair by none other than Ms.Wintour herself.

However if an invite didn’t come in the mail from Ms. Wintour or somebody on her team personally, it’s going to cost a pretty amount of pennies,too. Somewhere between $35,000 apiece to 300,000 for a full on table, according to nytimes.com.

Maybe something to consider and save up for if you’re dying to be on every best or maybe worst dressed list tomorrow.

This year’s theme

The 2021 Met Gala is celebrating American fashion. This year’s theme, “In America: A Lexicon of Fashion,” will honor the 75th anniversary of the museum’s Costume Institute and “explore a modern vocabulary of American fashion,” via the museum’s page.

So, if $35,000 seems steep, step your fashion game all the way up and hope those with the keen fashion sense takes a look at you this, or next fashion week and maybe your invite will come in the mail, next year.
