Everyone’s favorite magazine growing up is back. Better, too.
Ebony returns this month, with innovative, critically acclaimed artist Tobe Nwigwe gracing its June 2021 digital cover.
While everyone is heading outside, Ebony is giving us a different look and feel inside, with their newly relaunched magazine.
The redesign is part of the brand’s digital-first approach and transformative digital expansion strategy, marking a major next step for the iconic magazine, according to a press release by Ebony.
Tobe Nwigwe’s powerful expression of creativity and Ebony’s new bold, elevated approach to creating culturally-relevant content are what we call alignment.
Ebony, continuing it’s rich legacy, and joining Nwigwe dived into the conversation about black family, black music and black purpose, as we celebrate Black History Music Month and black fathers, for Father’s Day.
Ebony’s new and dynamic magazine will include a new editorial section, called “Black Thought”, and bold imagery, video and engaging stories that we’ve always known and looked to Ebony for. Also, this new editorial section will count Amanda Seales , Hill Harper and other well known influencers, artists and celebrities as contributors and to tell our stories like only we can.
Cover star Tobe Nwigwe was highly no coincidence for Ebony’s already solidified black icon status, as Nwigwe is set to be one of the most powerful voices and artist out today.
This is sure to be one for the ‘net, for both Nwigwe, once a viral internet sensation-turned mega black music star and the Ebony we’ve grown up on, but just finer and better. So stay plugged into Ebony’s new site and take a page from Nwigwe, by making purpose popular.
Head over to Ebony’s website to listen to Nwigwe discuss fatherhood, family and the black experience before closing out our Music month and celebrating your loved one this weekend.
