Fall weather is here! As the temperatures continue to drop, stocking up on comfortable and stylish clothes is a must. Luckily, Aimé Leon Dore (ALD) has you covered. The Queens, NY-based streetwear brand recently released their Fall/Winter 2022 New Balance Sonny collection.
The essential fall staples
This collection features over 30 pieces including sweatshirts, accessories, hoodies and sneakers—ranging in prices from $10 to $495.
While there are plenty of clothing options, a major draw for this collection is the ALD / New Balance 650R. This sneaker comes in three colors: green, navy and grey and retails for $165. The sneakers are available to purchase through a raffle on ALD’s website (the raffle closes on October 6 at 11 a.m. EST).
Other pieces including the ALD / New Balance SONNY NY Hoodie (sold in grey and green colors) sport a logo paying homage to the Masaryk Community Gym in the Lower East Side. “The Masaryk Community Gym is the latest project between Aimé Leon Dore and New Balance. The gym will be a new platform made to connect both young and old athletes alike through the language of NYC basketball,” the brand notes.
The collection has already seen success with several items in the lineup including the Warm Up Shirt and Varsity Jacket already selling out. However, there’s still plenty of clothes to go around with the Coaches Jacket and Long-Sleeve Shirt still being in stock.
This new collection is a continuation of the partnership between ALD and New Balance that began in 2019.“They’re a family-owned and operated private company. I’m the same way here,” ALD founder’s Teddy Santis told Business of Fashion in February. Santis was also named the creative director of New Balance’s Made in USA brand in 2021.
