10 Celebrity Men That Give Green Flags (Yes, They Actually Exist)

Society heavily talks about red flags. But you never hear deep dives on the green flags. You probably can spot a man you should stay away from instantly, from what you’ve heard, and maybe have experienced. But as soon as a man with green flags appears, you might miss out because you don’t know what to look for. 

So let’s spark the conversation on the green flags to pay attention to. Especially with celebrity men. Although we don’t know them personally, the moments we see (whether good or bad) leave lasting impressions. Like the patterns, character traits, and moments that don’t feel performative. It’s important to know why the green flags matter just as much as the red flags. 

1. Michael B. Jordan

Michael B. Jordan comes across as very intentional. His love for acting shows that he’s dedicated to everything he’s passionate about. Even though he’s been acting since his first break in 1991, he remains humble and grateful for every opportunity he has. 

Yes, he’s in the spotlight, but he still leads a private life. He’s present and respectful in the moments we see him, like in interviews. Or even when he was linked to Lori Harvey. But he also carries an aura that suggests there are layers to him, giving him even more green flags. He shows a nice balance between groundedness and relatability. And the love he shows his mother as she accompanies him to every big moment reveals more about patterns. And that is a green flag. 

2. Chad Michael Murray

Chad Michael Murray was the heartthrob of the early 2000s. He exuded an approachable personality with a hint of mystery. He was the boy next door with the beautiful blue eyes. Now, he didn’t have a squeaky clean image back then. He was briefly married to his “One Tree Hill” co-star, Sophia Bush, but the marriage ended after he cheated on her with Paris Hilton while filming his movie, “House of Wax.” Now, that sounds questionable, but hear me out. 

Chad Michael Murray was 24 years old when he first married. He was at the height of his career in Hollywood and was still growing up. This is not an excuse. He’s been married to actress Sarah Roemer, and they have a beautiful family. He represents a green flag because he learned from his past mistakes. 

When asked about his past relationships, he stated in an article, “I live in the now, I live in the present, I live in the future. Things have changed so dramatically for me since I was a young man that I just try to live in this space—always. So, I don’t think you’ll ever find me saying anything negative or hurtful about anybody. I never will. That’s just not me. I’m not going to do it.”

3. Tyler James Williams

Tyler James Williams had his breakout role in the 2005 hit show, “Everybody Hates Chris.” From 2005 to the present, there have been no negative ties to his name. He has lived quite a relatively quiet life. 

Tyler James Williams exudes a strong presence that demands your attention without overdoing it. He is very lowkey, but respectful. Many interviews he’s been in show how intelligent he is. He comes across as a thoughtful speaker. He is slow to speak, making sure his answers are grounded reflections that help shape someone’s choices in the best possible light.

Another thing to note is his younger siblings, Tylen Jacob Williams and Tyrel Jackson Williams, who were both in the spotlight at one point. They all handled being in the public eye with humility and respect, which says a lot about how they were raised…which is a green flag. 

4. Justin Bieber

The world has seen Justin Bieber through all of his highs and lows, both professionally and personally. We’ve seen him have what you might call outbursts or crashes. Given the trauma he’s endured throughout his life, it was warranted in a way.

His marriage to Hailey Bieber reflects his growth. Yes, he’s been vulnerable in his songs, but having that emotional openness in a relationship is a whole other level. The important thing to note is that most men can’t be raw and address where they need help or struggle. But Justin Bieber has been vocal, and his marriage appears to show a man in progress, addressing his issues one step at a time to find healing and become a better person overall. 

5. Sterling K. Brown

Sterling K. Brown represents a green flag because he’s just real. He doesn’t seem like one who aims for a polished image. He’s just secure, emotionally intelligent and appears well-rounded. Many of his televised and podcast interviews show a clear pattern. It shows the pattern of a man who is committed to growth. He’s not afraid to be vulnerable about things he’s had to unlearn in order to learn how to be better. He’s charismatic, funny, accountable and self-aware.

His marriage to actress Ryan Michelle Bathe is another notable aspect. The level of respect, honor and love that is expressed is key. The way he centers their relationships shows a partnership, not ownership. It shows consideration, not ego. That is a green flag. 

6. Kofi Siriboe

Kofi Siriboe had the girls in an uproar when he shared in an article that he is an ethical non-monogamist. Non-monogamy is an arrangement where one or more people have openly agreed not to be exclusive to each other (romantically and/or sexually). If this type of relationship is something you practice or are curious about. For people who actively practice non-monogamy, the main “terms and conditions” are honesty and open communication. 

This sounds crazy to be a green flag. But hear me out….

Kofi’s green flag isn’t meant for everyone. His openness and boldness in sharing his belief in non-monogamy show he’s transparent and self-aware. Think about it: he could be a man who leads women on and, overall, a walking red flag full of inconsistency and mixed signals, but he’s honest.

It’s a green flag when a man is upfront about his preferences, because it lets you make the choice. 

7. Nicolas Vansteenberghe

Nicolas Vansteenberghe from season seven of “Love Island” radiates green flags. He gained more notoriety after leaving the villa and coupling up with Olandria. Now, it’s debatable whether they are/were in a relationship. They never outright said it, but his actions regarding Olandria have been green flags across the board.  

Nic and Olandria created a slow burn. Because they weren’t overly expressive in expressing their feelings for each other, it may not come across as a true connection. The two decided to leave the villa together. 

During their time in the villa and outside in the real world, Nic has presented himself as a respectable young man. He treats Olandria like the man she deserves. He makes sure she’s good. It appears he provides her with a comfortable, safe space. It’s not about ego, as he allows her to have her moments when they walk red carpets together. 

His patterns since entering the spotlight suggest he’s a sweet, patient, and consistent person who isn’t easily swayed by the pressures of internet culture when making decisions. 

8. Prince Harry

There’s not much to say to prove Prince Harry is a green flag. The proof is in the pudding. Not saying he’s just this perfect person. But his desire to be his own man and walk in his truth is key. He showed a willingness to walk away from systems that didn’t align with his values. 

Meghan Markle, who is an American, married into the British family through her union with Prince Harry. He and Meghan chose to step down from their royal duties and explore other ventures that felt true to them. 

Essentially, going against the family and choosing peace for his immediate family is a risk, but it is also a thoughtful character trait. Although we don’t know the ins and outs, his relationship with Meghan seems to be one of great protection and alignment, which is a green flag. 

9. John David Washington

Let’s be real…John David Washington seems to have been raised to be a green flag. His father, Denzel Washington, has always represented himself in the spotlight as disciplined and very intentional. Denzel and his wife, Pauletta, have been married for over 40 years. 

Not saying every man raised in a two-parent household will follow in those footsteps. Obviously, the principles they’ve instilled, he still carries them. Although he seems reserved, it shows that he has boundaries. Also, he’s an actor, but he doesn’t rely on his father’s legacy to get by. That shows he’s not an entitled man and works hard for his accomplishments, which is a green flag.

10. Jacob Elordi

Jacob Elordi could be considered one of the heartthrobs of today’s generation. He has made headlines with his comments on Euphoria and the filming process, which received mixed reviews, but one thing that seems clear is that he has a brave spirit when faced with adversity. 

He was first linked to his Kissing Booth co-star, Joey King, as they split after a year. But they continued to do two Kissing Booth sequels even after the breakup. They’ve shared a few funny moments together and seem to be on friendly terms, which shows his respect for her. 

But what further establishes his green flag status is his confidence in his masculinity. Jacob Elordi has played a queer role in “On Swift Horses.” He does not identify as being a part of the LGBTQ+ community and is still linked in relationships with women, but after being called “gay” in school for being in theatre, he’s made sure to support that community and not be afraid to go against the norm.
