Chadwick Boseman Wins Best Actor at Golden Globes

The World is still devastated by the sudden loss of Chadwick Boseman. Although Chadwick may not be here physically, it doesn’t mean people have forgotten what a talented actor he was.
Six months after his death, Chadwick was nominated for his first-ever Golden Globe in the Best Actor, Film category for playing Levee Green’s role in
Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom. Last night, Chadwick Boseman won the award for best actor in a motion picture drama for his performance as a jazz musician, becoming the second posthumous winner in the category’s history.

His wife, Simone Ledward Boseman, gave an emotional acceptance speech on his behalf.

“He would thank God. He would thank his parents. He would thank his ancestors for their guidance and their sacrifices,” Ledward Boseman said. “He would say something beautiful, something inspiring, something that would amplify that little voice inside of all of us that tells you, ‘You can,’ that tells you to keep going, that calls you back to what you are meant to be doing at this moment in history.”

Boseman was posthumously nominated for a Gotham Award and a Film Independent Spirit Award back in 2020 as well.
