Our country’s judicial system has been a heated discussion and disappointment in regards to Black Americans. From countless murders of unarmed black men and women by police officers who do not face the justice they should, to unfair treatment given to white Americans who protest verses when black Americans protest. In light of a system that seems to all but failed Black Americans there is an increase in the number of black female attorneys, so we decided to get the perspective of one incredibly intelligent and passionate attorney Alexis Gonzalez. She is an attorney for fortune 500 company and shared with us the importance of taking the law into our own hands.

If there were truly a thin line between love and hate it would equal the distance of how humans view their own humanity. Humanity speaking to how we see others and how we see ourselves is evident through how we are depicted on television and movies, the things we see great value in and in the phrases we use concerning it. Someone once said sarcasm is the only time people tell the truth. So maybe all these phrases we use a true picture of the way we see human beings. Not to far fetch in a world that claims dog is mans best friend and diamonds are a girl’s best friends, more phrases that may tell the story of how we see humanity.

In our modern world where guys have rompers and women who do not do ballet wear leotards, it feels almost comical to think in a galaxy not too far, far away, there were such strict dress codes put in place. If you have the flexibility, you might have done quite a bit of traveling. If you are like me, one of the infatuations of traveling is experiences the different fashions in different cities and cultures. As ominous as it might sound, for most of our human history men and women wore dresses, of some shape form or fashion. It was not until the emergence of horseback riding was the trouser fashioned.
