Hip-hop is treading strange waters these days, strange like the lake in the Scottish Highlands. Once thought to be home of the Loch Ness monster, later with much of the scientific community regarding it as a modern day myth. Explaining the sighting includes misidentifications and simply flat out hoaxes! However, until this day people like to carry on the charade despite the facts. This is where we find hip hop, real waters with fake inhabitants, yet we still pretend as if this is good music. We know most rappers are frauds, misidentifying what good rap is.

It is early November and I am on Instagram scrolling through some of my favorite Instagram accounts, and listening to Jackie Hill Perry song the Art of Joy. What can you say about Mr. Hello Dolly?

Born and raised in Southwest Philadelphia and attended West Chester University. When you see Jermaine you see a simple guy. A regular dude from Philly. When you hear him speak you find out he is hilariously funny and very down to earth. When you hear him sing you hear a man with great potential. But whats most impressing is when you get to know him in all of the above you find out his heart belongs to Jesus. Jermaine is a self-proclaimed part time comedian and gospel artist. He did back up vocals for Tye Tribbett for several years and decided to accept the call to move out on his gift and pursue a solo career. It was a great decision for Maine as so many affectionately call him, for with no big backing or promotions just him and a small loyal crew Jermaine dropped a single on iTunes over the summer titled: You and it exploded!

Remember in elementary school competing in the science fair? 90% of the students were making Volcanoes of course including you so you had to add something special to yours. Remember the spelling bees? Spelling the word was not the hardest part, remembering to say the word before and after you spell it is where many great spellers would mess up.
